The Bilkent University Gender Equality Plan was adopted by the University Senate on September 12, 2022. This capacity is a committee established to distribute, propose, and monitor initiatives on gender equality and inclusion, and to coordinate among relevant units. Bilkent University, with these important steps taken in the 2022-2023 academic year, is also present in the declaration of prohibition, and the committee is open to the committee.

Human Rights Studies Application and Research Center

The aim of the Human Rights Studies Application and Research Center (HRC) is to contribute to the recognition, protection, implementation and development of human rights within the framework of national, regional and international legal regulations, in light of scientific methods and by following an interdisciplinary approach, through theoretical and practical research.

Social Awareness Projects

Established in 1999 to aid the victims of the Marmara Earthquake, the Social Sensitivity Projects (TDP) currently operates with 12 projects, Operating under the principle of “being part of the solution, not the problem,” participants of TDP, primarily students, strive to leave constructive impacts on their communities while increasingly applying the skills they acquire during their education to real-life situations.

Accesible Bilkent Unit

The Bilkent University Accessible Bilkent Unit was established to facilitate campus life for students with all kinds of disadvantages. The Unit, which was established in accordance with the Higher Education Institutions Disability Solidarity and Coordination Regulation, includes an academic representative assigned by each faculty and a representative of the Dean of Students. Faculty representatives also serve as advisors for disabled students of their academic units. The “Disabled Student Academic Advisor” mechanism is an important requirement for academic staff to be in close communication and cooperation with disabled students in the departments

Special Scholarship Programs

As part of the scholarship programs, which are one of the activities that strengthen communication with stakeholders and contribute most to strengthening the sense of social responsibility by the Development Office, a Scholarship Program for Girls is organized. At the same time, within the scope of fundraising activities and agreements carried out by maintaining strong stakeholder relations, Tuition Fee Support Scholarships, Dormitory Support Scholarships and Pocket Money Support Scholarships are given at various rates.
