Zero Emission Vehicle Policy
All campuses of Bilkent University are designed to be zero-emission vehicle (bicycle, scooter, electric scooter, etc.) and pedestrian-friendly. Another aspect related to vehicle emissions is the construction of sensor-equipped waiting areas in front of traffic lights at campus exits. In these areas, called “smart intersections,” sensors detect traffic density and adjust vehicle passage times accordingly, allowing vehicles to pass. This method also reduces exhaust emission levels.
